Terrace woman injured during theft of her car

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Police are searching for a man who reportedly stole a Mountlake Terrace woman’s vehicle Saturday, and in the process, pinned her between two cars.
She is expected to survive.
The theft happened around 2 p.m. at a home along 214th Place SW.
The woman, 40, had met the Kent man a week before, said Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen.On Saturday, the suspect drove her to work and offered to pick her up later.
He left in her car and didn’t return. She called him dozens of times, Hansen said. The suspect eventually went to the woman’s home.
The visit was short.
He ran outside to the woman’s car. She stepped on to the running board, trying to the stop the suspect.
When he drove off, the woman became wedged between her vehicle and another car, Hansen said. She was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.
The suspect is described as black and in his late thirties. He was driving a blue 2003 Toyota 4Runner. He is wanted for investigation of robbery and hit and run.
