Three injured in collision near Snohomish

SNOHOMISH — A collision early this morning on S. Machias Road near Snohomish sent three people to the hospital with what officials described as life-threatening injuries.

One victim was flown by helicopter and another taken via ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Snohomish Battalion Chief Craig Heike said.

A third person was taken to Evergreen Hospital, he said.

The crash, involving a Honda Civic and Nissan pickup truck, occurred just after 5:05 a.m. south of Three Lakes Road.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies were at the scene this morning, investigating the collision. No other details about the crash were immediately released.
