EVERETT — Everett police officers are asking for help finding two men who are wanted for arson and burglary at a bank.
Detectives have identified the two suspects as Eli Steen and Jason Kovar. They are both 31 and live in Everett, according to the Everett Police Department.
An ATM at the Coastal Community Bank on 19th Avenue SE was broken into early Tuesday, according to police. One of the suspects reportedly used a cutting tool to break in, which sparked a fire. The smoke detectors went off around 6 a.m. Surveillance cameras caught it on tape.
More than $35,000 in property damage was reported between the burnt cash, broken ATM and needed repairs to the building, according to the police department.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. The bank also is offering a $5,000 reward.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS.
