Two warships visiting Everett’s Navy base

EVERETT — Naval Station Everett has guests from San Diego today.

The USS Bonhomme Richard and the USS Sampson are scheduled to dock in Everett for the night before heading to Seattle on Tuesday morning, said Navy spokeswoman Kristin Ching.

USS Bonhomme Richard, an amphibious assault ship, and USS Sampson, a guided missile destroyer, are participating in Seafair’s Fleet Week. They are expected to leave Everett about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
