SKYKOMISH — The Bolt Creek fire spread closer to U.S. 2, prompting its closure in both directions Monday evening near Skykomish.

The closure was between the Money Creek tunnel and the Skykomish ranger station, mile posts 46 to 50, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Another closure is at the Fifth Street bridge and the highway.

Only emergency vehicles and wildfire crews can go through the area at this time.
