Seven volunteers recently helped the YWCA with its School Days backpack drive. Volunteers on Aug. 21 packed 135 backpacks with school supplies in just two hours. The efficient helpers hailed from First Financial Northwest Bank and the Edmonds Young Professionals group. Two of the volunteers were repeat School Days volunteers.

Edmonds Welcomers, Caliber Home Loans and individual donors provided school supplies and monetary donations.

YWCA School Days expects to deliver over 1,800 backpacks in all to children who use its programs in Snohomish County.
