Water starts over banks

Some Snohomish County rivers were reported entering flood stage just before first light Sunday with the water still rising fast.
The Stillaguamish River at Arlington was said to be at 14.52 feet at 6:39 a.m.; the Skykomish River at Index at 22.8 feet at 6:34 a..m.
Even the Pilchuck River was reported to have swollen enough to begin topping its banks at Menzel Lake Road.
Each of those rivers were reported at Flood Stage II under Snohomish County’s system, which means people can expect to see minor flooding over roads in the usual places. More serious flooding is predicted along area rivers as the storm continues to dump rain in the mountains and freezing levels remain high.
You can monitor river levels yourself using Snohomish County’s real time flood information system.
