MARYSVILLE — A woman and her baby were unharmed after a fire started in the Marysville home where they were sleeping.
The two were woken up by smoke alarms early Tuesday night, said Scott Goodale, a battalion chief with the Marysville Fire District.
“It probably saved their lives,” he said.
The fire apparently started in the living room at the home in the 6100 block of 80th Street NE.
There was minimal fire damage but smoke damage was apparent throughout the house, Goodale said.
Altogether, four people were displaced and the American Red Cross was called to assist them.
No injuries were reported. Crews also responded from Getchell and the North County Regional Fire Authority.
The fire apparently started accidentally near some electronic equipment, Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said.
