SEATTLE — The Seattle Fire Department says a worker is trapped in a powder avalanche at the Ash Grove cement plant.
Spokeswoman Helen Fitzpatrick says firefighters rushed to the plant at 11:30 a.m. today.
The worker is a backhoe driver who was caught under a wall of collapsing cement dust in a large dome structure. She says the worker is conscious and using a breathing device as firefighters work to free him.
