Police start homicide investigation following woman’s death

MILTON — Authorities in Western Washington investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman found inside her apartment say she died of homicidal violence.

Officials with the Metro Cities Crime Response Unit in a news release Saturday morning said they’re now conducting an active homicide investigation following the death in Milton.

Officials said officers with the Milton Police Department went to the apartment at about 4:30 p.m. Friday after a male relative checking on the woman found her body.

Officers secured the apartment and requested help from the crime response unit.

The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
