38th LD, Senate: Azariah will make needed changes

We in the 38th Legislative District (Tulalip, Marysville and Everett) need the leadership of Anita Azariah for state Senate. She will be instrumental in making much needed changes by addressing issues that matter to the 38th district. The key issues like safety, taxes, affordability and human rights will be Anita’s priority. I will be voting for Anita because she will focus on these local issues that matter and that can no longer be ignored. She has a track record of fighting for her community.

Her opponent, June Robinson, has represented us since 2013. She is asking to be “retained.” Retained? Why would you retain a senator that prefers a large, overreaching and unresponsive government? Robinson has consistently voted to deny the public an opportunity to be heard especially during covid. She has supported and has made no effort to remove the emergency powers she voted for and gave to Gov. Jay Inslee.

Aug. 2, is the primary. A change in leadership at the state level is overdue. There are three candidates running. The top two go through. Let’s get rid of June Robinson at the primary! She has failed us miserably. It is time to vote in someone that cares about our community. Someone like Anita!
