I’m afraid that our progressive and liberal friends who wanted someone else to be the president of the United States of America has forgotten the famous words spoken on Nov. 19, 1863. “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal… — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
The Gettysburg Address still speaks to all 323 million American citizens, not just the winners but also to those who lost the election. There are two sides to a coin, two sides to a discussion and two sides to an election, and we have winners and losers. The Constitution was created as the document to follow, not to change on a whim to suit a belief of the moment. It is the progressive Democrats who are coming unglued about this election and 2000 election.
I don’t remember the Conservatives demonstrating, burning, and rioting in 1998, 2008 or 2012 when progressive Democrats were elected. The American citizens elected Donald J. Trump to be president and he should be everyone’s president on Jan. 21, 2017. Look, I don’t like who was elected for governor, but he is the governor of Washington. We got screwed by Sound Transit, but I’m not rioting. Grow up and live with it, please.
