Birdhouses in Bickelton worth seeing

In the May 2 article on bluebirds (“Resurgent bluebirds moved from Fort Lewis to San Juan Island”) there was mention that in the 1980s, Fort Lewis volunteers erected bluebird boxes.
In the 1960s, the Bickelton National Bluebird Trail was established. There are approximately 300 miles of blue-roofed birdhouses in the Bickelton area. Bickelton is located on Highway 241 out of Goldendale. Bickelton also supports one of the largest wind farms in the state of Washington.
