Congress needs more like Kinzinger and Cheney

Kudos to U.S. Reps. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., and Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who lost their jobs as members of Congress because they have self-respect and care about things that matter in this country and oh, yes, they voted to impeach Donald Trump. Unfortunately, that’s a no-no in many conservative circles these days. Voting for what you know is the right thing to do, regardless of the consequences, is not typical of our elected representatives. They tend to value their cushy jobs more than they probably should.
When you vote as a representative of your constituency and vote for something they might not like, you stand a good chance you will be voted out of office at the next election. And that’s exactly what happened to Kinzinger and Cheney.
These two Republicans are exactly what we need more of in Congress. I’m not even sure that many Democrats would do what they did.
Again, way to go Kinzinger and Cheney. I would vote for you even if I don’t agree with most of your politics.
