So, when did the Supreme Court become a legislative body?
It appears that the right-wing majority has decided to overthrow women’s constitutional protection that has been in place for the last 50 years! It also seems apparent that personal, political, and/or religious feelings entered the decision. This is supposed to be the judicial body of our government, not the legislative part. That belongs to Congress alone!
And now Justice Clarence Thomas is urging action on gay sex, same-sex marriage, and contraceptives. Why not also make mixed marriages a crime too? (Because that would interfere with his marriage.) Where is Chief Justice John Roberts? Will he allow the justices who are not elected by the people, begin to make legislative decisions?
By this action, the Supreme Court has lost its credibility with many Americans! Congress, it is up to you to take action to keep the court from making legislative decisions. Can we count on it?
