Snohomish County, now more than ever, needs leadership. Snohomish County needs Cindy Gobel as county auditor.

Leadership is about establishing goals, developing targets, creating a plan, modeling behavior, providing positive encouragement to those working with you to achieve them, measuring success, adapting methods and strategies, and bringing others on board.

Like every government agency, the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office is facing ongoing issues. Leadership determines the outcomes for our community, and we must be able to balance performance expectations with community needs. Gobel will help meet the pressures every county agency faces to manage its resources effectively by prioritizing spending and allocating funds.

Snohomish County should also expect excellent customer service from our county auditor, which means we need better than the status quo regarding staff training, employee tools, and efforts to build a respectful workplace culture where people are supported and able to perform at their best.

Gobel will also not settle for the status quo around election security. She will continue to ensure our systems are robust and that every ballot is securely collected, counted and tabulated. She will build public confidence in our elections and Snohomish County government through proactive leadership and increased engagement with civic groups, community organizations, neighborhood associations, students and future voters.

We must elect Cindy Gobel to the county auditor’s office to move beyond the status quo and build the prosperous county, communities and individual lives we are working toward.
