Galling to say readers won’t notice

Our families have been non-stop subscribers to the Everett newspapers for at least 100 years. This, though, is a new low: Acquire the paper and immediately terminate many key employees. And then have the unmitigated gall to say “the readers won’t even notice the difference.”

Somehow this seems to us to be almost a deliberate insult to the staff, the readers, and our entire community. We all realize the print media is a difficult business these days but we are disgusted and personally very disappointed.
