Gerson column ignores left’s own invented conspiracies

A recent column in The Herald by Michael Gerson (“Have conservatives lost their capacity for revulsion,” May 29) berates the right for suggesting that DNC staffer Seth Rich’s recent murder in Washington, D.C., might be worthy of investigation. It has been suggested by some in a position to know that Rich could be the source of DNC email leaks to Wikileaks.
The left is frantically trying to suppress that idea by claiming that Rich’s murder is simply an attempted robbery with which he failed to cooperate. The facts make that a difficult story to sell. Rich was shot twice in the back, but still had his valuables when, 10 minutes later, an ambulance took him to the hospital.
Gerson’s commentary calls for conservative media to feel the “ickiness” of any suggestion of a conspiracy in Seth Rich’s murder. Ironic considering the left has been unsuccessfully searching for any scrap of proof of collusion between President Trump and the Russians to influence the outcome of our last election. The hypocrisy of the left is exceeded only by their zeal in carrying out the wishes of their true president, Hillary, who said the reason for her loss was “those guys,” meaning FBI Director Jim Comey and the Russians! No, Seth Rich can’t be the leaker, it has to be the Russians!
The big story here is the collusion between the Democrat Party and the media and their inability to accept Donald Trump as our legitimate president. Don’t lecture conservatives about conspiracies Mr. Gerson; clean up your own house first!
