Immigration is causing too many problems for us

Democrats try not to talk about it and hope it will go away and Republicans offer no solutions except a half-built wall that Mexico was supposedly going to pay for, except they didn’t, so of course we did.

I’m not a heartless person, and this country is not a heartless nation. And I know what it says on the Statue of Liberty, but we do more toward aiding the unfortunate souls on this earth than anybody else on this planet, but illegal immigration now is out of control.

It’s been a problem for more than 60 years but not like these days. More than 50 million immigrants live here now. According to the Washington Post, 2.3 million more were apprehended at our southern border in fiscal 2022 which ended Sept. 30. That’s apprehended, not how many actually crossed the border. Who knows who or how many more have sneaked into this country? Immigrants from the Middle East, Africa, and Europe now cross our southern border.

Yes we are a nation of immigrants and we’re better off for it, but most of the immigration now is illegal and brings more problems in. Most come from the same nations that have always been in some kind of turmoil or crisis and some come here because they can. Some also smuggle deadly drugs into this country.

Their issues never will change. Are we expected to be the savior for the rest of this planet forever when we can’t even solve our own homeless issues? Is there an end to it all?
