It’s a moral issue, not a political one

Regarding the Nov. 19 letter, “Breaking laws not representative”: The writer has the right to his ideology as do I. Occupy is not about ideologies, however. I sleep on the frozen ground to protest the depravity of the rich, the bankers of Wall Street, corporations that break our laws and dirty the planet, while calling themselves people, and the politicians who serve the 1 percent interest while abandoning the 99 percent.
My neighbors lose their homes and jobs to feed the immoral frenzy of greed from people who have no concept of patriotism, or empathy for those less fortunate than them. The blame and the burden of our failed economy is places on the victims while the guilty walk the street, get the bailouts, bonuses, tax breaks and refunds. They covet their wealth, proclaiming that the return of even a penny will destroy the nation they have decimated. You need only walk down any street in America and talk to the common people to hear tales that bring tears to your eyes and elicit a need to do something to make our democracy work again for the 99 percent. This is not a right or left issue. It is a right or wrong issue.
