Make sure longer version is complete

Recently I watched a video titled “Snohomish County 1901-2001 Our History Our Home” at the old Everett Theater. As I sat in the full theater I was much surprised by the amount of time which was devoted to certain events and none to others. A violent murder and a plane crash got several minutes as well as the twin tower disaster in New York. The latter was used a backdrop by The Herald to shamefully promote itself, its operations and presumably sales. The advent of Boeing to the county was promoted as if it were the Second Coming.

What was lacking was any reference to education or the role of faith groups in the history of the county. Education, both public and private has been a major catalyst for economic growth and development in the county since the beginning. We now have a full range of educational opportunities available, grade schools, high schools, community colleges and four-year colleges. Did they just appear overnight?

Faith groups and the churches and synagogues and mosques they built have provided havens of security for the early settlers of this county when communities were isolated from each other. They provide these today as well as many other services to the citizens of the county, yet there is no mention in the video of their contributions.

Maybe the extended version if this video will answer my concerns. The version I saw leaves a lot to be desired.
