North County Fire board: Maisch has key experience for post

Steve Maisch is running for North County fire commissioner. While doing my research, I learned he’s exceptionally qualified to hold that office.
Maisch is a retired Navy medic, having served on submarines and alongside the U.S. Marines. He was co-owner of a medical staffing company. He has 30 plus years’ experience as an emergency medical technician, and was also a life support instructor. His medical studies were related to hospital corps, at the University of Washington’s Medic 1 training.
As a Northwest Incident Support volunteer, his community service includes Support 46. During the past six years, Steve has been directly supporting the North County Regional Fire Authority. For the past nine years, he has served on the Arlington parks, arts, and recreation commission. Steve was also a volunteer firefighter in Bellevue and Kenmore.
As a fire commissioner he will bring deep experience in pre-hospital medicine and in administrative fire service operations. With the merger of the Arlington Fire Department, and the North County Regional Fire District, the continued need for a well-managed organization is critical. We must elect a commissioner who is experienced, and who feels a financially responsibility to the taxpayers. I believe Steve Maisch is that person.
