I am at my wits’ end. Maybe you can help get the word out. This is a public service announcement to all drivers coming from Lake Stevens off Highway 204, entering U.S. 2 west-bound and merging onto the trestle: You have a yield sign that is telling you that you must give the right of way to the cars descending from 20th Street SE.
Those of us who live in this area, constantly encounter drivers who don’t seem to understand what “yield” means. I write this after yet another encounter with a car barreling onto the trestle from Highway 204, creating dangerous driving for all. So, for those driving onto the trestle from Highway 204 and Lake Stevens, you must yield the right of way to traffic from 20th Street SE, when you are merging onto the trestle.
Thank you.
