Cynical? Who, us?

Yes, the markets are up, but The Buzz is feeling a bit cranky today:
Meaner than a junk yard dog: Ford, Hyundai and Subaru have benefited most from the “Cash for Clunkers” program, even as its future is in doubt. The House has voted to pump about $2 billion into the popular program, but some senators are balking.
It’s not that they object to the program. It’s just that they bought new Lexus SUVs before the rebates were available.
Can’t be shamed again: The Obama administration hopes that by publishing the names of mortgage companies that are dragging their feet on renegotiating troubled home loans it can shame the companies into helping homeowners.
The president is forgetting that shame requires a conscience.
Better check Google Maps: The Associated Press has published an Economic Stress Map of Washington state, which shows how counties and cities have fared during the recent economic downturn.
To find Everett on the map, go north past the Microsoft and Starbucks layoffs and then take a left at the Boeing threats to move to South Carolina.
