Stiger has done outstanding job as Everett Port commissioner

I have read that The Herald didn’t endorse two-term Port Commissioner Tom Stiger. I was pretty shocked by that as he and the team have done an amazing job in making Everett and its waterfront better each and every year. Everett is quickly becoming a go-to destination, and the businesses that are continuing to move in and the amazing development only makes Everett better.

I read that The Herald is endorsing someone else because Mr. Stiger did not respond to an email for a meeting. Was there ever a followup or a call from The Herald? How many of us get emails that go immediately to the junk file, or gets missed? If the journalist would have done more than a simple email, I have no doubt that Mr. Stiger would have been glad to respond. Look at his resume. I dealt with Tom Stiger myself for several years prior to his becoming a port commissioner and I cannot speak more highly about his integrity and the hard work he puts into everything he does.

In my humble opinion, a vote for Tom Stiger is a vote for the continued growth of our beautiful port and waterfront. He’s done an outstanding job and he deserves to be reelected.
