Why vote for Democrats? Because they pass good legislation

A recent letter writer asked why Democrats keep sending the likes of Sens. Murray and Cantwell, and Reps. Larsen, DelBene and Jayapal to D.C. The answer: They are people of integrity who uphold the laws of our nation. They don’t make excuses for their defeats, nor do they promote themselves with misinformation or at the expense of others.

More importantly, they work to solve the problems of our country by passing important legislation to improve our nation’s infrastructure, lower inflation, allow Medicare to negotiate less expensive prescription drugs for seniors, enhance security for Supreme Court justices, improved red-flag laws, provide needed health coverage for veterans exposed to carcinogens while serving in the Middle East, incentivize computer chip production on our shores, as well as the manufacture and purchase of technologies to lower carbon emissions, including carbon-capture technologies for our current domestic energy producers.

To answer the letter writer’s second question, “aren’t democrats tired of this?” No. This is how a democracy is supposed to work. He suggested we vote Republican to turn this around and clean up this mess. Does he prefer that we all run around telling lies, passing on conspiracy theories, and shouting, “The sky is falling, the sky is falling”?
