EUGENE — The Eugene Emeralds scored nine runs in the first two innings and rolled to a 10-3 win over the Everett AquaSox on Wednesday night.
Carter Aldrete keyed the blistering start for the Emeralds with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning followed by a grand slam in the bottom of the second.
Andy Thomas and Noelvi Marte each homered for the AquaSox, who managed just five total hits in the game.
Bryce Miller started on the mound for Everett (33-37) and didn’t make it out of the first inning. Miller allowed five runs on three hits while walking two in just two-thirds of an inning.
Aldrete finished with seven RBI and Vaun Brown and Hunter Bishop had two hits each for Eugene (42-26).
