Hops swipe 11 bases in win over AquaSox

HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Hillsboro Hops scored six runs in the fourth inning and cruised to a win over the Everett AquaSox on Friday night.

George Kirby started for Everett and allowed three earned runs on six hits in 3.2 innings. Kirby struck out four and didn’t walk a batter in his first start of the season.

Jack Larsen went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in a run on a single in the top of the fourth inning for the AquaSox.

Everett added a run in the top of the fifth when Conner Hoover tripled and scored on a wild pitch by the Hops’ Hunter Haworth.

Julio Rodriguez doubled and Austin Shenton added a base hit for Everett (2-2).

Hillsboro (2-2) stole 11 bases in the game, with Leodany Perez and Nick Dalesandro swiping four each.
