1B District 1 tournament

Lummi Nation 52, Tulalip Heritage 48

BELLINGHAM — The Lummi Nation Blackhawks (19-3) edged Tulalip Heritage (18-2) for the second time this season to claim the 1B District 1 tournament championship. JJ Grey scored a team-high 12 points and pulled down five rebounds for the Hawks while Ziggy Myles-Gilford contributed eight points and 10 rebounds. Both teams will participate in the District 1-2-3 tournament, which begins Feb. 15. The top four seeds, which had not been announced at press time, will receive first-round byes and host games Feb. 18.
