Snohomish County HOF will induct 2024 class on Sept. 25

Seven individuals and one team will be inducted as prep and college athletes are honored.

EVERETT – The Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame will soon grow by seven individuals and one team.

The HOF induction banquet will be held Sept. 25 at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Angel Of The Winds Arena.

Dinner tickets are available here through Sept. 18. The cost is $100 per person or $900 for a table of ten.

The evening begins with a social hour and silent suction at 4:30 p.m. with the dinner and the awards program starting at 6 p.m. Memorabilia display cases and a wall mural will be available to view from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Former Everett AquaSox owner Tom Hoban will be a guest speaker at the event.

Individuals: Rachele Stohl (Kloke), basketball and track and field, Stanwood H.S.; Whitney ReeAnn Sullivan (Hooks), track and field, Cascade H.S.; Peter T. Lee, swimming, Everett H.S.; Geoff Reece, football, Cascade H.S.; Ben Somoza, soccer, Edmonds-Woodway H.S.; Dan Parker, cross country coach, Snohomish H.S.; and Frank Foster, sports administrator and announcer (sports contributor), Cascade H.S.

Team: The 2006 Jackson H.S. baseball team.

Others honorees at the banquet

• 2023-24 High School Student Athletes of the Year: David Brown, Lake Stevens H.S. and Yanina Sherwood, Jackson H.S.

• 2024 Collegiate Athletes of the Year: Sheldon Egger, Edmonds Community Colleage and Denna Gibb, Everett Community College.
