Bothell marks Independence Day

BOTHELL — Concerts, free pancakes, parades and the Battle of Concord will all take place during Bothell’s annual Freedom Festival, which takes place July 3, 4 and 6 at various locations.

This year’s theme is “United We Stand.” The event, a traditional Fourth of July celebration, is produced by the city of Bothell Parks and Recreation Division and funded by Bothell’s Hotel/Motel Tax.

Thursday, July 3

• Patriot Dance — This event is from 7 to 10 p.m. at the park at Bothell Landing, 9919 NE 180th St. It features the rock-n-roll band Silhouette.

Friday, July 4

• City of Bothell Fire and E.M.S. Pancake Breakfast — This event takes place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the downtown firehouse, 10726 Beardslee Blvd.

• Children’s Parade — This event takes place at 11:30 a.m. Participants will line-up at 104th Avenue NE and Main Street. Parade route proceeds west on Main Street and then north on Bothell-Everett Highway to NE 188th Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the parade route. No supervision is provided.

• Grand Parade — Starting at noon, the parade route proceeds west on Main Street and then north on Bothell-Everett Highway to NE 188th Street.

• Concert in the Park — This event is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the park at Bothell Landing and features the Woodinville Community Band. A second concert takes place from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

• Re-enactment of the Battle of Concord — This event takes place at 2 p.m. at the park at Bothell Landing.

Sunday, July 6

• Classic Thunder RC Scale Hydroplane Races — This event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lake Pleasant RV Park, 24025 Bothell-Everett Highway SE.
