“The Center,” by Kenmore playwright Kim Roff, the second play in the 2002-2003 Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Reader’s Theater series, will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10 in the Shoreline Center’s Ballinger Room.
A social service agency where therapists work on a daily basis with people with problems, both real and imagined, is the setting for “The Center.” The complexity, and often, the danger of the therapist’s job, create the action of the play. The interplay of the therapist and the patient, and the mind games that ensue promise an intriguing and entertaining evening.
Roff has several other plays to her credit, along with an MFA in playwriting from the University of Portland. She is also a graduate of Shoreline Community College, where she was active in the theater program.
Admission is free. The Shoreline Center is located at 18560 1st Ave. NE. There will be coffee and a discussion following the reading. For more information contact the Arts Council at 206-417-4645.
