West Coast Canadian acoustic band Tiller’s Folly brings its unique Celtic, bluegrass and folk sound to the final concert in the Mill Creek Parks &Recreation department’s outdoor summer summer series, a 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 show at the Mill Creek Sports Park.
With a touch of country and rock in their music, Tiller’s Folly has become one of the leading Canadiana roots music bands. Performing since 1996, Tiller’s Folly has recently released their third CD, “A Ripple in Time,” now breaking into the international radio market.
Front man Bruce Coughlan, chief singer/songwriter, is joined by rhythm guitarist and flautist, bassist/producer Laurence Knight, internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Nolan Murray and multi-instrumentalist/co-engineer Eric Reed. Combining the musical heritage and storytelling traditions of their homeland, Tiller’s Folly shares a vision of music grounded in the rich past of North America’s last outpost — the western Maritime province of British Columbia.
