DANCE AND DRILL: The Shorecrest hip-hop team, Shorewood drill team and Shorewood flag team will all perform at Friends and Famiily Night, Monday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Shorewood High School gym. All three teams have qualified for the WIAA state Dance and Drill competition March 21-22 in Yakima.
STATE CHAMPION WRESTLING CAMP: Shorecrest High School will host a state champion wrestling camp from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 21-25. The camp will feature Dave Mitchell, aWashington state high school champion in 1972 who wrestled for the University of Washington. Mitchell is also the current head wrestling coach at Tonasket High School where he has coached 22 state champions. The advance registration fee (postmarked by June 13) is $70 or $80 at the door. Rugby is a combination of American football and soccer ¿ you can’t pass forward and you can only tackle the person who is carrying the ball, but the play is continuous and constantly moving from offense to defense.
