Donahue helps Spartans roll by Lynnwood, 64-45

STANWOOD – Senior Tina Donahue was a one-woman wrecking crew as Stanwood defeated Lynnwood 64-45 in a Western Conference 3A game on Friday night.

The senior had 22 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, four steals and five blocked shots for the Spartans.

Donahue, along with senior Paige Leatherman, scored 16 of the 22 points that Stanwood scored in the third quarter. The Spartans led 31-25 at 6:34 of the third quarter, “then we ran away with it,” said Stanwood coach Tod Klundt. That was the decisive quarter.”

  • Lake Stevens 46, Arlington 29: Chelsey Holloway scored 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field, had four blocked shots and captured 10 rebounds for the Vikings in their Wesco 3A victory. Kayla Burt led Arlington, which shot 15.7 percent from the field (8-for-51), with 20 points.
