Holiday bus schedules for Community Transit
Published 9:00 pm Monday, December 22, 2003
Community Transit will run buses on Sunday schedules on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Boeing commuter service will take a break during the holidays.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation will be available on the Sunday schedule.
Community Transit’s Customer Information Services will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Information about bus routes will be available at www.commtrans.org and in Bus Plus schedule books.
There will be no Boeing commuter service Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Jan. 1, because of the company’s holiday schedule.
Community Transit will have some commuter schedule changes on Friday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Jan. 2. All local service and most commuter service will operate on regular schedule; but some commuter trips will not run because of the low number of riders. Commuter trips that will not operate are marked in the Community Transit commuter Bus Plus book with the letter "H."
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve commuters seeking earlier service from Seattle to Snohomish County can use Route 414, which has regular service from downtown Seattle to the Mountlake Terrace, Ash Way, Mariner and McCollum Park park-and-rides.
These trips depart Fourth Avenue S. and S. Royal Brougham Way at 9:06, 10:06 and 11:06 a.m., and at 12:06, 1:06, 2:06 and 2:36 p.m. Consult the commuter Bus Plus book for downtown stop information.
For service to Marysville, Route 421 will have an early trip leaving Ninth Avenue and Stewart Street at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday and at 1:05 p.m. Dec. 31.
For commuters going from Seattle to the Lynnwood Transit Center, Sound Transit Route 511 provides service every half-hour throughout the day. Commuters going to Edmonds can take Route 511 to the Lynnwood Transit Center and transfer to Route 110 (goes within two blocks of the Edmonds park-and-ride) or Routes 114, 115 or 116 to downtown Edmonds.
