All the toys didn’t find homes Tuesday in Everett.

Santa will return to Everett Station today to give presents to children from families who need a helping hand this holiday season. WorkSource Everett Veterans Unit and its partners gathered toys to distribute.

Santa will begin handing out toys at 9 a.m. in the main lobby at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave. Parents must be accompanied by their children.

Bring the kids around the computer screen tonight. For the sixth year in a row, Philadelphia-based aerospace software developer Analytical Graphics Inc. is tracking the movements of Santa Claus online. You need RealOne, Windows Media Player or QuickTime software. On the Web, go to www.noradsanta.com.

Harborview Medical Center’s Burn Center offers the following tips for child safety in the kitchen:

  • Never hold a child while you are drinking a hot liquid.

  • Keep pot handles turned toward the middle of the stove.

  • Do not carry containers of hot liquids when children are underfoot.

  • When cooking, keep toddlers in a playpen or with another adult away from the kitchen.

  • Deep-fat fryers can be very dangerous. Hot oils may reach temperatures exceeding 490 degrees Fahrenheit during cooking.

  • Be careful with microwave ovens. Puncture plastic pouches and plastic wrap covers before heating to reduce risk of steam buildup. Check the temperature of food and drink before giving it to children.

  • Never leave a child alone in the kitchen.

  • Keep stove burners, the broiler and oven grease-free. Grease may build up and cause a fire.

  • If there is a grease fire in a pan, do not try to move the pan. Turn off the heat and put a lid on the pan.
