Go ahead and call it a Christmas tree

How stunned I was Friday morning! Imagine my surprise when I read the article regarding the retirement of the beloved Colby “holiday tree.” This shock and dismay is provoked not from the absence of the tree this year. It’s because The Herald doesn’t have the backbone to call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree! What in the world is a “holiday tree” anyway?

You folks ever heard of the First Amendment?
