Everett Community College dedicates a new clock tower at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The clock was donated by the Cooper Foundation.
The clock, which chimes 25 different songs, is a replica of the original model that once stood in front of Citizen’s Security National Bank of Everett at 2927 Colby Ave. in Everett.
Everett Junior College graduate Joe Cooper’s father, Frank L. Cooper, was the bank’s manager and cashier.
“The clock is dedicated as a reminder of early Snohomish county history,” Joe Cooper said. “It’s hoped this will also be a reminder to all those that attend the college in the future of the wonderful experience and opportunity they had on campus.”
The clock will be located near Olympus Hall.
