Captain Jack Sparrow is back on the big screen today with the third “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie. (http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/07/05/24/100ae_b6pirates001.cfm?refresh=yes) Robert Horton reports that this film takes a darker turn. And the film loses some of the wind in its sails halfway through.
Pity.
But, the lull in the action will allow movie-goers to fully, um, appreciate Johnny Depp. Or if he’s not your thing there’s always Orlando Bloom. Or just enjoy watching the undead monkey. Horton says he gives a star-quality performance.
Are you ready for the long weekend? Or, more importantly, is your grill ready for the long weekend? It turns out that barbecues need to be cleaned once in a while. (http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/07/05/24/100hg_hg13carey001.cfm?refresh=yes) And things also need to be done to keep the grill running smoothly and safely.
Oh. You mean we should be able to light the grill without losing our eyebrows?
Let us have a moment of silence to mourn the end of Blake Lewis’ ambition to become an American Idol.(http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/07/05/24/100loc_a1blake001.cfm?refresh=yes) However, that many screaming girls with homemade signs can’t be wrong. We doubt we’ve seen the end of Mr. Blake Lewis.
