Where to have fun on the Fourth

Here are community events planned today:

Arlington: Frontier Days Fourth of July: Pancake breakfast, 7 to 10 a.m. Haller Park, 1100 West Ave.; Pedal, Paddle, Puff Triathlon, 8 a.m. Haller Park; Kiwanis auction, noon Haller Park; grand parade, 5 p.m. French Avenue; Stilly Duck Dash, 7:30 p.m. Haller Park; Fireworks, 9 p.m. Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.

Bothell: Activities include pancake breakfast, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.; a children’s parade, 11:15 a.m., 104th Avenue NE and Main Street, proceeds west from there; live music at 1:30 p.m. at the Park at Bothell Landing, re-enactment of the Battle of Concord, 2 p.m. at the Park at Bothell Landing; inflatable amusement rides for kids, 1 to 3 p.m.

Edmonds: An Edmonds Kind of Fourth, children’s parade starts between 11 and 11:30 a.m., Fifth Avenue and Howell; grand parade at noon, starting at Seventh Avenue between Glen and Daley. Fire department water ball competition at 2 p.m., live music and entertainment at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks about 9 p.m.

Everett:

  • Fire on Ice, 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Comcast Community Ice Rink, 2000 Hewitt Ave. $5, includes skate rental, 425-322-2600.

  • Yankee Doodle Dash: Registration 7:30 a.m., race begins at 8:30 a.m., Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave., $10, $13.

  • Star-Spangled Celebration, noon to 4 p.m., Imagine Children’s Museum, 1502 Wall St., 2-for-1 admission; activities also from 7 to 10 p.m., Naval Station Everett ball field, 2000 W. Marine View Drive.

  • Family Freedom Festival, Naval Station Everett’s Community Services Department presents a day of free entertainment, softball, food, children’s activities and fireworks, ship tours, noon to 5 p.m., Naval Station Everett, 2000 W. Marine View Drive. Ticket pick-up begins at 11 a.m. No parking at the naval station, so take Everett Transit shuttle from 3201 Smith Ave.

  • Fun in the Sun Street Fair, post-parade picnic area and kids’ entertainment, noon to 3 p.m., First Baptist Church of Everett, 1616 Pacific Ave.

    Lynnwood: Star-Spangled Celebration, family events and fireworks, 7 to 10:35 p.m., Lynnwood Athletic Complex, 3001 184th St. SW.

    Monroe: Demolition derby and fireworks show, Hornets, ST8, School Bus Figure 8, rollover, boat racing, school bus jump and fireworks, Evergreen Speedway, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe.

    Stanwood: Fourth of July parade at 11 a.m., ice cream social from noon to 2 p.m. at D.O. Pearson House Museum, 27112 102nd Ave. NW, followed by prize ceremony, kids’ games, live music and a fireworks display at Heritage Park, 9600 276th St.
