Drew Carey is everywhere. Before he takes on “The Price Is Right,” he’s hosting “Power of 10.”

Contestants on the show are quizzed on how Americans answered questions such as, “Have you ever fired a gun?” (67 percent say yes). Some more insight from surveys:

  • In a recent study, just 47 percent knew how long it takes the Earth to go around the sun.

  • In another, only 20 percent knew the Earth revolves around the sun in the first place.

But they’re not all that dumb. About 99 percent think Carey’s sitcom lasted five years too long. For those still trying to figure it out, that’s five trips around the sun.

You can write a great resume, columnist Eve Nicholas says. Here are some of her tips, along with some items from the Internet that were allegedly found on actual resumes:

  • List educational achievements: “While I’ve never quite gotten a degree, I am quite close to several.”

  • Include talents: “I have unsuccessfully raised a dog.”

  • Highlight relevant skills: “Overlooked all areas to ensure an overwhelming success.”

  • Be honest: “Please don’t misconstrue my 14 jobs as job-hopping. I have never quit a job.”
