Army Pfc. Kyle Abendroth, son of Laurie Abendroth of Everett, is serving a brief stint in Romania.
A multiple launch rocket system fire direction control specialist at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase in Romania, he is sharing military tactics and interacting with Romanians as part of a new partnership between the United States and Romania, a NATO nation since 2004.
Abendroth’s regular, permanent duty station is in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, with the 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery.
A 2005 graduate of Mariner High School, Abendroth attended basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Sill, Okla., before moving to his station in Germany.
