Scouts hope to collect 1,500 pounds of food

Arlington Cub Scout Pack 92 plans to donate 1,500 pounds of food to the Arlington Food Bank. If the boys can achieve that goal, their Cub Scout master, Greg Vaughn, has promised to shave his head.

The Scouts are visiting friends and neighbors to collect food.

Their food drive runs through Dec. 20. Those wishing to contribute to the drive are asked to donate to the food bank and credit Pack 92. The food bank is open from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 1 to 2 p.m. Fridays at 1271/2 W. Cox Ave., Arlington.
