Tips return

The Tips were back in Everett today following the Christmas break. The team had a late practice to accomodate the traveling players, and even that wasn’t enough as a few were either late or didn’t make it because of their flights. Here’s a quick rundown on the state of the team as the second half begins.
– Kyle Beach has been cleared to play and will be in the lineup tomorrow at Tri-City. He missed the last two games of the first half because of a concussion. But not only has Beach recovered from his concussion, the break also allowed his nagging back injury to recover, so he should be at 100 percent.
– Though the team is fully healthy from an injury perspective, it’s not completely healthy from an illness perspective. Winger Jordan Mistelbacher has the flu and won’t play tomorrow, and defenseman Mike Alexander is questionable.
– It might take a moment to pick out Vitali Karamnov on the ice. He chopped off his hair, so you won’t be able to identify him anymore by the long dark-brown locks flowing out the back of his helmet.
