Everett business leaders watched as Mayor George Culmback and Commissioner of Public Works George Gebert moved the barricades aside to formally open the new $326,000 Norton Avenue Overpass to link the waterfront industrial area with Alverson Boulevard at Legion Park.
25 years ago (1983)
Spring wore a white overcoat and turned out the lights for about 3,000 people in Snohomish County this morning. Snow fell in north county communities — ranging from a light dusting in Lake Stevens to more than two inches in the Granite Falls yard of Bertha Johnson. Heavier snow toppled trees from Jordan Road to Lake Roesiger.
