For only the second time since 1960, no University of Washington players were selected in the annual NFL draft.
The only other time that has happened in the past 48 years was in 2003.
The lone player from a Washington school to be selected during the seven-round draft was WSU quarterback Alex Brink. The Houston Texans took him in Round 7 on Sunday.
It marked the first time since 1940 that only one player from a Washington school was drafted.
Among the local players who did not get picked were UW running back Louis Rankin, WSU wide receiver Michael Bumpus and Western Washington linebacker Shane Simmons.
