Everett City Council, 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, City Council Chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave. The planning department is scheduled to give a presentation of proposed new residential design standards and historic overlay zones. A public hearing on the proposed changes is May 21.

Everett Port Commission, 9 a.m. Tuesday, Port headquarters, 2911 Bond St., Suite 109. Commissioners are scheduled to discuss several items, including the grand opening of the Craftsman District.

Lake Stevens City Council workshop, 7 p.m., Lake Stevens School District administration building, 12309 22nd St. NE. Minor changes to the building to be used for the new senior center in Eagle Ridge Park are among the agenda items.

Marysville City Council work session, 7 p.m., City Hall, 1049 State Ave. A permit application by the Marysville Downtown Merchants Association for Home Grown 2008, a street fair planned for Aug. 8 and 9, is among the items scheduled for discussion.
