She was walking with a friend on a sidewalk along 164th Street SW when both were struck. Cooper’s friend, a sophomore at Mountlake Terrace High School, was injured in the crash. Granite Falls: Camp trailer burnt by fire
An early morning fire destroyed a camping trailer Wednesday, causing about $1,000 damage.
The resident allowed the fire to burn for an hour before calling for help about 4 a.m., Snohomish County Fire District 17 Lt. Jeff Torgerson said.
Firefighters arrived in the 600 block of Paradise Lane to find the trailer destroyed, he said.
The woman said a gas heater started the blaze, said fire investigator Gary Bontrager with the Snohomish County Fire Marshals Office. She did not have insurance.
The Red Cross responded to help find the woman find temporary housing.
Everett: Police say man aimed gun at car
An Everett man was arrested Friday night after pointing a gun at two people in a car at the intersection of Broadway and Everett Avenue, police said.
The man, 24, jumped out of a van and pointed the gun at a Lynnwood man, 18, and an Everett woman, 18, who were in a car, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
The two men apparently knew each other, he said.
The woman was able to drive away and 911 was called. Police followed the van onto I-5 and pulled the driver over at 128th Street SW, Goetz said.
Three men in the van were arrested. The 24-year-old was jailed for investigation of second-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. Two other men were arrested on warrants.
Police don’t know why the man pulled the gun, Goetz said.
