Videos: Coldplay live, Usher remade, and Weezer, sort of

Coldplay played its latest hit, “Viva La Vida,” on the MTV Movie Awards.
Confetti fell – red, white and blue – before the group said it was good to be back in the U.S. Ah, those flatterers.
Still, everything I’ve heard from the group’s new album sounds good so far, and I’m starting to get a bit giddy about June 17, when the album hits stores. I don’t fully understand the group’s soldier-meets-pirate outfits, but its songs sound good.
Coldplay – “Viva La Vida” – Live
So I don’t get the cable, I don’t watch the MTV. YouTube and I, we tight. It helps me catch performances like this, Coldplay’s first live airing of “Viva La Vida,” one of several songs off their upcoming disc that bode well for the group’s fourth studio album.
Usher – “Love in This Club” – Unofficial video
Sure, I hated on Usher when I reviewed his album, but the more I hear this track, “Love in This Club,” the more I like it. It’s catchy, y’know? The official video is a typically sexed up affair that finds him wanting to make love in that most sanitary of places, a dance club. This version features a bunch of talking animals, ala Disney’s Country Bear Jamboree. Dig it.
Brian Bell of Weezer and Tay Zonday – “Pork and Beans” – Official outtake
Tay Zonday, he of “Chocolate Rain” fame, runs through Weezer’s new song “Pork and Beans” with guitarist Brian Bell. It’s not exactly “good,” but it is at least vaguely amusing.
